General Terms and Conditions

General Terms and Conditions

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all events organised by ErwuesseBildung asbl (EwB).

General

EwB events can be held in person or online. If an event takes place online, this will be explicitly stated in the relevant announcement.

EwB reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an event due to lack of participation, cancellation by the event leader or for any other reason such as force majeure. In such cases, participants will be reimbursed in full for any fees already paid. Further claims are excluded.

Participants who have already registered will be informed immediately of any changes or cancellations.

A change of event leader at short notice does not entitle the participant to withdraw from the registration.

Registration

Registration for an event is possible via the website www.ewb.lu, via e-mail (info@ewb.lu) and by telephone (+352 44 743 340). Successful registration will be confirmed in writing and/or by telephone.

If an event is subject to a maximum number of participants, registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received.

Registrations for fee-paying events are binding.

For various events, no prior registration is required. If this is the case, it will be explicitly stated in the event announcement.

Course fees and terms of payment

The course fees will be communicated in the course announcement. The course fee is payable to the EwB upon registration or after invoicing. For selected events, payment in cash or by card is also possible.

In the event of late entry to the course, the course fee can only be charged on a pro-rata basis if this has been agreed in advance.

Fees for classes missed by the participant will not be refunded.

Online events

Participation in online events is subject to the following conditions: Only persons named at the time of registration are permitted to participate.

If the organiser issues access data for entry to an online event, these may not be passed on to third parties without consultation.

Data protection

EwB would like to point out that photography, filming or sound recording is not permitted within the framework of online and/or face-to-face events. As organiser, we reserve the right to record selected events in image and/or sound, to store them and to publish them in the EwB bulletin and/or on the Internet (website and social media channels). Appropriate notices will be given in the event announcement and/or at the beginning of an event so that participants are informed.

For reasons of data protection, it is not permitted to reproduce, copy or otherwise distribute the teaching and training material provided by the EwB without the explicit permission of EwB.

Cancellation/conditions for withdrawal

In the event of cancellation of registration by the participant, the following terms and conditions shall apply, unless specific terms and conditions are notified for a particular event which deviate from these (in which case the specific terms and conditions shall apply):

If a registration is cancelled up to two weeks before the start of a training or event, the full amount will be refunded. If a registration is cancelled after this deadline but before the start of the training or event, 50% of the fee will be refunded. If the participant does not show up, no refund will be made.

A substitute participant can be registered without extra fees.

Certificate of attendance

Upon request, EwB will issue a certificate of attendance at the end of a training, workshop and/or event.

In the case of certain certified courses (e.g. “Internetführerschein 1 und 2”), participants receive a certificate issued by the Ministry of Education.

Liability

Participation in EwB events is at the participant’s own risk.

Data protection

ErwuesseBildung collects, stores and processes personal data. This is done exclusively for its own business purposes. The data will not be passed on to third parties, unless third parties are legitimised to use the data, which will be communicated to the persons concerned. The legal basis for this procedure can be found in our data protection declaration.
