A Candid Conversation with Sally, Yossi, Nadav and Ashraf
Panel Discussion
Personal stories and thoughts from Israel and Palestine
Sally Azar is a Palestinian pastor in the West Bank, Yossi Zabari an independent Israeli artist, Nadav Tamir a former Israeli diplomat, and Ashraf Al-Ajrami served as a minister for the Palestinian Authority. All of them are travelling to Luxemburg to jointly share their personal stories and insights into the ongoing struggle in the Israeli-Palestinian context. What is currently happening in both societies? What developments are to be expected in the upcoming months? And what leverage do Europeans have, if any, in supporting a peaceful future in Israel and Palestine?
The discussion also invites the audience to ask questions: When registering for this event, you may write two questions you would like the panellists to answer. Your question may be selected and contribute to this candid conversation.
The panel discussion is moderated by Valeska Heldt (Candid Foundation) and is part of the EU-funded EPICON project (European-Palestinian-Israeli Trilateral Dialogue) implemented by the Candid Foundation. It aims at reassessing the political realities in Israel and Palestine, exploring what a meaningful, joint engagement towards a just political solution should look like, as well as developing actionable steps for European states to support such a process.
Organisation: Candid Foundation in cooperation with EwB and forum.
